Weekend Cruiser or Weeklong trip, This Pearson is your home away from home.The Pearson 36-2 is not only an attractive boat sitting at the dock; she's a cruiser that was solidly built without making performance secondary. Step aboard from the dock and the first thing you'll notice is how much space is available to maneuver on deck. Her rigging and support are well laid out and still offer a lot of room if quick action is necessary above decks. All rigging is run back to the cockpit, so if the need arose to single hand her, it can be done. The cockpit is also well laid out and roomy enough for a large crowd under sail. The bow dodger protects the hatch and a table can either be in place for meals, cards or drinks at sunset, folded down, or stowed and out of the way. Navigation at the helm consists of the Ritchie Compass atop the binnacle, the Stowe Nav 250 Sounder, Stowe Wind speed indicator, and the Stowe Nav 2. A Raytheon R 20x Radar array is built into the cabinetry in the galley. The cockpit also has a manually operated emergency bilge pump at the helm. If you're taking on water, you can pump the bilge while remaining at the helm. In the cockpit storage compartment are the inverter for the boat and a manually operated head pump out for the holding tank. In case the holding tank needs to be emptied at sea during long voyages. Stepping into the main cabin is like coming home every day. With 6'5" of head room this Pearson's spaciousness is very inviting. It has Room to sleep 7 people comfortably. You can look, but you'll be hard pressed to find a better cared for Pearson on any coast. Fit and finish in this boat definitely is beyond its years for a 1986. One of the very few blemishes you'll find aboard is the damage on the cabinet in the head, due to the previous owner's dog.
Pride of ownership shows throughout the boat and the seller reports she's ready to sail anywhere.
The Thickness of the Fiberglass Hull and Heavy duty stainless steel chain cleats tied into the hull increases the safety and reliability of the 36-2. And, back in April of 2013 this Pearson had all through hulls replaced with bronze fittings and the bottom was painted at the same time. All Portlights were replaced in 2014. Engine hours are unknown as the hour meter quit working quite a while ago. Seller reports that the engine is consistently maintained and serviced, and runs very well. An Automatic Emergency Bilge pump with high water alarm was installed to round out the many safety features of this boat. There is an old autohelm installed by previous owner. It doesn't function as boat does not currently have autopilot.
